Hot keys are keyboard shortcuts that allow the user to quickly perform a specific function without having to click or navigate. The list of available hot key options are summarized in the tables below, grouped by location on the interface that the keys affect.

`Ctrl + S` `Alt + F, S`		Launches the Save File dialog for saving an image file
`Ctrl + Alt + R`		Reloads the current open image
`Ctrl + Shift + Alt + [1-9]`		Opens the most recent files by the order of the last loaded, starting with 1 as the most recently-loaded file
`Ctrl + 0`	Display	Toggles the display of all object sets and their overlays
`Ctrl + [1-9]`		Toggles the display of the object sets by their order of appearance, starting with 1 as the first object set
`Ctrl + Shift + [1-9]`		Toggles the display of a channel by their order of appearance, starting with 1 as the first channel
`Ctrl + Shift + ~`		Toggles all Channels on/off.
`Ctrl + A`	Selection	Selects all objects
`Ctrl + E`		Restores last save object selection
`Ctrl + W`		Saves object selection
`Delete`		Deletes selected objects
`Z`		Zooms to selected objects
`Alt + A`	GUI	Opens the Analysis menu
`Alt + E`		Opens the Edit menu
`Alt + F`		Opens the File menu
`Alt + F4` `Alt + F, X`		Quits Aivia
`Alt + H`		Opens the Help menu
`Alt + T`		Opens the Tool menu
`Alt + V`		Opens the View menu
`Ctrl + H`		Hides all panels besides the Image viewer
`Ctrl + T`		Collapses / Expands all panels besides the Image viewer
`↑` (up arrow key)	Navigation	Moves the display to the first time point in the image sequence when the timebar is selected
`↓` (down arrow key)		Moves the display to the last time point in the image sequence when the timebar is selected
`←` (left arrow key) `Ctrl + ,`		Moves the display one time point backward in the image sequence
`→` (right arrow key) `Ctrl + .`		Moves the display one time point forward in the image sequence
`F4`	Recipe apply	Applies recipe from beginning on full sequence
`F5`		Pauses / resumes recipe apply
`F6`		Applies recipe one time point forward
`Ctrl + Y`	Undo / redo	Redo last action
`Ctrl + Z`	Undo / redo	Undo last action
`Ctrl + Shift + L`	Miscellany	Opens the log file

2D view

` (backquote key) `Ctrl + Alt + Shift + F`		Sets zoom level to Fit to screen
`Ctrl + F` `1`		Sets zoom level to Best fit
`Esc` `2`		Sets zoom level to 1:1
`Ctrl + Alt + ↑` `Ctrl + Alt + ↓`		Toggles the zoom level dropdown menu
`R`	Display	Toggles on the red channel (RGB image only)
`G`		Toggles on the green channel (RGB image only)
`B`		Toggles on the blue channel (RGB image only)
`Ctrl + L`		Toggles the display of Track ID label overlay on image
`F7`	Annotations	Toggles the Line annotations tool
`Ctrl + F7`		Toggles the Angle annotations tool
`Shift + F7`		Toggles the Freehand region annotations tool

3D view

`W`	First person camera	Zooms in to the scene
`S`		Zooms out of the scene
`A`		Moves scene to the left
`D`		Moves scene to the right
`Q`		Rotates scene clockwise
`E`		Rotates scene counter-clockwise
`Shift + ↑`	Trackball camera	Rotates scene from the top down
`Shift + ↓`		Rotates scene from the bottom up
`Shift + ←`		Rotates scene to the left
`Shift + →`		Rotates scene to the right
`Ctrl + ↑` `Ctrl + ←`	Selection	Changes object selection mode to the option above
`Ctrl + ↓` `Ctrl + →`	Selection	Changes object selection mode to the option below
`R`	Display	Resets scene to default view

Outline editor

`A`	Outline editor	Copies all outlines to all time frames
`C`		Toggles on the Freehand region drawing tool
`Enter`		Confirms drawn shape
`Esc`		Deletes last drawn shape
`F`		Toggles off the current active drawing tool
`I`		Toggles on the Line drawing tool
`P`		Toggles on the Polygon drawing tool
`S`		Copies selected outlines to all time frames

Neuron composer

`Ctrl + Left Click`		Terminates the potential path that is clicked on in Predict dendrite mode
`H`		Hides the current segment trace while the key is held in Predict dendrite mode

Mesh contour editor

E		Toggles Eraser tool
`F`		Toggles Flood fill tool
`S`		Move to next plane down (relative to image origin)
`W`		Move to next plane up (relative to image origin)

Pixel classifier

Shortcut / hot key	Context	Function
`Ctrl + D`	Pixel classifier	Selects the next class
`Ctrl + P`		Toggles the preview on/off (if it's not off, it becomes off, otherwise it becomes the full preview mode)
`Ctrl + R`		Creates a preview region from the current display
`Ctrl + Q`		Uses the next brush mode
`Ctrl + Shift + Q`		Use the previous brush mode.
