The Recipe Apply mode mode in the Batch processorProcessor allows you to apply an analysis recipe to multiple images and export one (1) or more analysis recipes to multiple images simultaneously. The Batch Processor saves processed images along with Excel-readable measurement files for the analysis results to Excelthe designated output folder. Prior to apply the applying an analysis recipe, you can load an image into Aivia and use the Recipe Console interface to adjust the recipe parameters to give you for the best results.
Step-by-step guide
Before beginning the tutorial, pelase please download the Nuclei Count Demo Image Images (NucleiCountDemo.zip). For this tutorial, we will be using This tutorial uses the Nuclei Count recipe for batch apply. Please refer to the documentations documentation on the Nuclei Count recipe for more information about the recipe. You can download the image directly here.
1. Unzip the demo file
, there. There should be five (5) images total.
2. Load one (1) of the images into Aivia.
3. In the Recipe Console, click on the Recipe selection dropdown menu and select the Nuclei Count recipe.
4. Set the recipe parameters as

dialogBy default, the batch processor will have the Recipe Apply mode selected; click on the Add Image button to launch the Open dialog

6. In the Create Job tab of the Batch & Cloud Processor, select Recipe mode.

The alternative to Recipe Apply is Template Apply. In Template Apply mode, an object group on the current image is selected instead of a recipe from the adjacent dropdown menu. The recipe and recipe settings used to generate the selected object group as well as all measurements calculated for the object group are batch applied to the input images. See the Batch Processor page for more information on Template Apply as well as how to batch apply multiple recipes at once to a set of input images. |
8. Click on the Add Local Folder button, navigate to the folder containing the unzipped demo images
and select all the files to open in the Batch Processorin the dialog that opens, and then click on Select Folder.
9. Click on the Browse button to the right of the Output

When you are satisfied with the parameters, close Aivia and click Run All to start the batch recipe apply processImage Removed
When processing is completed, a notification dialog will pop up; click OK and close the Aivia batch processor
Open the results folder, the processed images are indicated with the _Processed suffix and the exported measurements (if enabled) are indicated with the _PrintToExcel suffix

10. Assign the demo images as input by either dragging them from the Local Library section and dropping them into the Raw Input section or by selecting them in the Local Library section, right-clicking on the selected thumbnail(s), and choosing the Assign as Raw Input option.
Image Added11. Click Create to start the batch process. You can monitor progress in the Progress Queue tab of the Batch & Cloud Processor window and continue to use Aivia normally while the batch process is running.
Image Added12. When processing has completed, all processed images and exported measurements are in the designated output folder. The processed images have the “_Processed” suffix, and the exported measurements have the “_PrintToExcel” suffix.
